What a fantastic experience!! The concert ended up being a sell-out! We had to actually turn people away from the door. We had the hall for the whole day so decided to have a bring and share lunch for all the participants. I even managed to get a cake in our celebration (thank you aunty Joan). The school choir were excellent. Best school choir ever! I can't believe the short amount of time they had learnt the songs. I even had their school teacher playing the timpani for one of my compositions in the orchestra. Thanks Mark! Martin the conductor was fantastic. He had all the little children come to the front and explained the music they were about to hear in story form. Excellent idea. It was lovely to see lots of mothers come as a present from their children for mothers day. The diversity of people from different cultures and ages is a testimony of how music can bring people together.
